Gan ddilyn yr afon Nant Duad, mae’r llwybr yn cynnwys wyth arwyneb gwahanol y bydd cerddwyr yn eu teimlo wrth gerdded yn droednoeth, a’r rheini’n cynnwys graean fflint crensiog, clai sy’n slwtsian, bonion coed a sglodion coed.

Mae’r llwybr yn dechrau o dan dwnnel helyg ac yn gorffen gyda stepiau i lawr at yr afon er mwyn i’r cerddwyr allu golchi eu traed cyn gwisgo’u hesgidiau unwaith eto.

Cafodd y llwybr ei hun, a’r adrannau gwahanol, eu creu gan dîm o weithwyr dan hyfforddiant sy’n gweithio gydag Awdurdod y Parc Cenedlaethol fel rhan o brosiect Sgiliau ar Waith, a ariennir gan gynllun Sgiliau ar gyfer y Dyfodol Cronfa Dreftadaeth y Loteri.

Roedd y prosiect yn cynnwys codi lefel yr hen lwybr troed oherwydd problemau gorlifo, a bu’r gweithwyr dan hyfforddiant yn gweithio dan arweiniad y Warden Dylan Evans o Gastell Henllys, gyda chymorth ychwanegol gan Dîm Wardeiniaid y Gogledd.

Mae’r llwybr hefyd yn cynnwys llwybr troed hygyrch sy’n addas ar gyfer cadeiriau olwyn a phramiau, felly mae’n ddigon hawdd osgoi unrhyw adrannau. Mae hyn hefyd yn gadael i bobl sy’n dymuno peidio â thynnu eu hesgidiau fwynhau mynd am dro ar hyd glan yr afon.

Mae’r deunyddiau a ddefnyddiwyd ar y llwybr wedi dod o’r ardal leol, naill ai o’r chwarel leol, Canolfan Goetir y Parc Cenedlaethol yng Nghilrhedyn, neu randir lleol.

Ar ôl y llwybr, gall yr ymwelwyr fynd ymlaen i’r Pentref Oes Haearn neu fynd yn ôl i’r Ganolfan Ymwelwyr, sy’n cynnwys lle chwarae i blant, safle picnic a chaffi ar lan yr afon.
